Newcastle, UK – 19 June 2025 – Lhyfe (EURONEXT: LHYFE), one of the world’s pioneers in the production of green and renewable hydrogen is pleased to announce that it has been granted planning permission for a green hydrogen production facility in Wallsend, North Tyneside, a significant milestone in its UK journey.
This development follows its recent HAR2 shortlisting for both Wallsend and Kemsley, and it marks another important step toward delivering locally produced, renewable hydrogen to support the UK’s net zero ambitions.
The site in Wallsend represents a major opportunity to contribute to the decarbonisation of industry and transport in the region. With planning permission now secured, Lhyfe can continue to progress towards bringing this project to life.
