About Lhyfe Trelleborg
Lhyfe Trelleborg plans to supply green hydrogen, with a focus on heavy transport and industry in southern Sweden. The facility will be able to produce up to 4.4 tonnes of green hydrogen per day, corresponding to an electrolysis capacity of 10 MW. Green hydrogen helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels such as diesel and natural gas.
Our green hydrogen is produced by electrolysis of water in facilities powered by renewable energy, and then delivered to nearby customers. This is a proven technology that safely supplies local businesses and helps them eliminate their carbon dioxide emissions. Through our track record of pioneering projects across Europe, we have demonstrated the crucial role green hydrogen plays in building a sustainable future.
More than 5,500 trucks enter Sweden via Skåne every day via three main access routes: the Öresund Bridge, the port of Trelleborg and the port of Helsingborg. Its location in Trelleborg enables the facility to supply these lorries, as well as domestic heavy goods vehicles undertaking long-distance transport, with sustainable fuel. In addition, the facility also plans to supply hydrogen to local and regional industries for various industrial processes.
