Lhyfe Vallmoll (Tarragona)

Located in the industrial area of Vallmoll (Tarragona), Lhyfe’s first green hydrogen production site in Spain will have a production capacity of up to 5 tons of green hydrogen per day, catering to the needs of local industrial companies. This project represents a significant step forward in Lhyfe’s mission to promote sustainable energy solutions and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Funded partly by a €14 million grant from H2 Pioneros program the project will address the demand for green hydrogen from various industrial sectors and transport companies seeking to transition to hydrogen-powered electric vehicles.

This project highlights Lhyfe’s commitment to the Spanish hydrogen strategy and the expansion of renewable energy-based hydrogen infrastructure. The successful implementation of the Tarragona plant will significantly contribute to the sustainability goals of the industrial and transport sectors in the region, reinforcing Lhyfe’s position as a key player in Europe’s transition to green energy.
